Betsey Johnson Designs Chicest Derby Hats Ever

The Kentucky Derby is May 7, chicettes! And we're here to help you win the hat of your dreams, designed by Betsey Johnson herself. The designer (and breast cancer survivor) has partnered with Chambord® Liqueur to design three super-cute hats for the "Pink Your Drink" program of festivities and to support breast cancer awareness. (Our favorite hat is pictured above!)

One Sherels hat will be auctioned at a VIP brunch hosted by Betsey on May 5 (call 502-897-8900 for tickets!) and another online at BiddingforGood.com from April 26-May 7 (100-percent of proceeds will benefit the National Breast Cancer Coalition). The third hat will be auctioned on Chambord's Facebook page.

We were lucky enough to catch a quick moment with Betsey as she prepares for her very-first Kentucky Derby, and here's what she said:

I Heart Heels: This is all such a great idea! Why did you decide to design the three hats and become involved?

Betsey Johnson: I was asked by Chambord to make some very special hats to raise money for charity as part of their "Pink Your Drink" program.

IHH: Our favorite hat is the "Cleopatra-meets-Scarlett" hat with the roses all over and big bow. Cute! What type of girl can you see wearing this at the Derby and with what?

BJ: A confident, daring, flirtatious, Scarlett O'Hara wannabe. She wears it with a sleek, sultry, satin, bias-cut, ankle-length sheath dress.

IHH: It's your first Kentucky Derby! What will you wear?
